Windows Xp Unable To update!

He connot download from any of his 3 pc's Microsoft Framework files !
He thinks it's his modem from comcast and yes he has double checked his router settings.
Can SIND or BIO help him out ?

I need clarification..

He can't download the new framework from Microsoft?
What is the site he is downloading from? Has he done windows update to see if it shows up as a d/l?

Can he download anything?

Does he have the site blocked in web browser or firewall or Spysweeper?

As in x64???? Use the link above or go to
Start/settings/control panel/Windows update!......

You need the latest service packs! for the latest .Net Framework

not just a single pc, all 3 of them? None have been updated with SP's? All of his OS's are not legit?

Look for the file below and if there...:

C:/Windows/system32/wdmaud.sys

Delete it (or move/rename) and Reboot.

Next,
1.click start-->run-->devmgmt.msc-->ok
2.on the device manager, click view-->select show hidden devices/drivers.
3. then click on "non plug and play drivers/devices", and find TDssserv.sys
4. right click it, then select disable, then restart the computer.
5. then check if the problem still persists. good luck!

After doing so!

I would run every thing you got... avast/ webroot/ spy ware terminator!!! and every thing else!

That fixed the problem after that did a sweep and found trojans removed them also. thanks guys
